I would not pay for the "lead". I would pay for the result of getting the "lead"

I am with Wheels. I pay $1,000 at CLOSING on a standard deal. Anyone could print the MLS and hand it to you.

I'd pay several thousand if and when I close, if the numbers support it.

Anyone who pays for a lead before getting results, is not very smart in my eyes. I can sell that same lead to many.
As they say there is a sucker born every minute and in this case they may be right. I pay big for resluts not for wishes.

A prescreened modivated seller may be worth $5 for the name but $1000-millions for the result.

I'm assuming this poll is for the new area of the website. I realize that there are costs assocated to runing a website. It is also very hard to check the chain of title for every lead to see who needs to be charged and what not. A name may be pre-screened but it doesn't necessarily mean results.

I don't have a good answer but maybe we should start a thread and brainstorm.
