Hello:
Can anyone post an example of the so-called "YELLOW LETTER" so we can see what it looks like and how it is worded?? Any help would be appreciated...
Sincerely,
Bill Morin

The yellow letter campaign is ineffective in my market. I bought a house in foreclosure and the mailbox was full of these letters. Somedays we'd get 5 of the same letter with different names and tel #s. Homeowners in foreclosure are bombbarded with yellow letters. The letter loses its uniqueness and effectiveness when everyone in town sends out the same letter.
I strongly suggest developing your own personal and unique marketing materials to differentiate yourself from the herd.
The "yellow letter" is written in RED ink on YELLOW notebook paper and goes something like this...
Dear Mr and Mrs Smith,
My name is John and my wife's name is Jane. We really want to buy a house in your neighborhood. Please call 800-555-1212 if you or anyone you know wants to $SELL$
Sincerely
John and Jane Doe.

Thank you panic..
I do have my own unique way but you hear all of this hoopla about the "Yellow Letter".....I feel it's just another way for the creators to make money and I'm sure the market has been saturated with them...

Bill, I am going to take a picture tomorrow of some yellow letters and post it here for you to laugh.
I admit the name, "Yellow Letter", sounds cool. Kinda like "Agent Orange", "Code Red", or "Black Sheep".
I'll tell you a secret I learned on here a couple of years ago. This trick made me hundreds of thousands of dollars, no joke. It works 100% guaranteed. So easy, a monkey could do this.
Here's what you do. Make a simple one page letter with your telephone number. You've probably already got a flyer or letter ready to print up. Next, go to the nearest fedex shop and pick up as many envelopes as you can carry. Make a route on mapquest or streets and trips of all the properties in your area headed to sale. Insert your flyer/letter inside of the fedex envelope, seal it, and place it on the front door step of each property. All of those envelopes in the mailbox will be thrown away, but your's will be opened and read. Now, prepare for your phone to ring. Flawless victory

That's a great idea! But now everyone will be doing that and people will have 10-12 FedEx envelopes on their porch. ( LOL- LOL)

Hey Panic: Its an intriguing idea, and would no doubt get read, but what do you say to the often deceived homeowner in distress when they ask why you used a FedEx envelope when you were really an investor?
I think my response would be a truthful one. "I have
alot of extra FedEx envelopes in my office, and its a respected business, so I had hoped you would open it and read what I had to say".

THS44-- good question. The overall response is very appreciative when I use a FEDEX envelope. It's like, "Hey, I came out to visit you, personally. You didn't answer the door so I left my letter where your neighbors and guests wouldnt find out you're in foreclosure."

Not a bad idea... But I have a mailing list of over 800 people that I mail to... How in the world would I be able to stuff 800 envelopes with my letter and deliver them all every month?!?
I'd go crazy!!

That's when you send your mailer in an envelope that looks like a check is enclosed.
