I can ask for and quickly receive, from any title co. in WA State, a list of 2d mtg note* holders on any county in WA.

This is something that's so quickly available on their computers that they give these lists to anybody requesting it, for advertising purposes...heck I've even got them while waiting at the counter.

So I'd advise your getting acquainted with your closest title co. and trying out their free services...just tell them, and mean it, that the next RE deal you do, you'll be using their title services.

A tip: tell them you want not only the name and address of the 2d note deed of trust beneficiary, but also the address where the tax bill is being sent.

*Of course you realize (?) that notes are never recorded or on record, but their Deeds of Trust and Mortgages securing them ARE recorded, so that's what you ask for...the 2d DT & Mtg records.

The previous posts are correct in suggesting title companies. They are a good source for public information.

Check the county recorder rather than court. Many counties have online portals.

The are fee based service that will allow you to search & fetch the document images.
