RE: Ron LeGrand, Short Sale Seminar

Hello All
Thank you in advance for any feedback!

I am new at REI and was wondering if anybody has attended this Seminar on the “Art of the short sale” in their area and if they thought it was beneficial and worth the money.

Have you done any type of REI in the past? I would have to say, that if you have never purchased anything in the past then you will not benefit completly from the seminar. I say this because there is just so much of the information that will be over your head. I would try to learn as much as possible before attending. By the way how much does it cost?

DsREI,

I would disagree a little with Vern,

You would benefit greatly from Ron LeGrand or any other REI educator.

Yes you will have information overload after most REI courses, but self-study can hamper greatly if not properly implied.

I teach over 50 new students every month in REI and all are overwhelmed with information, but as time goes and you start implying the new knowledge and your continued restudy all the pieces of the puzzle will come together.

I would have to agree with Vern & Disagree w/John Michael. Ron LeGrand tends to have a lot of repetitive fluff in his seminars, and they certainly are not worth the hefty price tag he puts on his "infomercial" bootcamps with alleged but somehow missing hands on training! Check out John T. Reed's web site assessment of the TV Gurus @ www.johntreed.com. He does not recommend him for the very reason I cited, and calls it as he sees it, that LeGrand is nothing more than a shrewd salesman. At a cost averaging $1000 per day per boot camp, the $30 in printed material and all the coffee, tea or water you can drink, and the few pearls of wisdom he may offer within the surplus of marketing of his own courses... your time would be better spent studying the gurus affiliated with this web site, or throwing the money in the slots of Vegas, Atlantic City or your local Native American Casino.

He has a point.

Personally, as a beginner, I wouldn't spend that amount of money initially to get into REI. A grand could go a long way in educating yourself by buying plenty of REI books.

I've spent around 6 or 700 dollars on books over the past several months and am about a week or so away from getting started.. And believe it or not, my best investment to date was happening across this board...

Besides, save that money for your future ventures.

Best of luck.

Hey guys Bill Twyford here,

Don't waste your time Ron learned the art of the short sale from Dwan and Sharon.

Go to the calender on this site and check out the dates.

I was there when they were teaching him.

I think it's great the girls teach the other gurus. Even if it's the competition.

I went to Ron LeGrande's seminar in Tampa a few weeks ago and I am a beginning RE Investor. I found it to be very beneficial. Tons of information , some of which was over my head, but I made annotations and went back and asked questions about it later to clarify.

I have heard that his seminars are usually expensive, but this one day seminar was only $499 for 2 of us. So I think it was definately worth the $250 for me. It inspired me and I got a lot of useful information.

I personally do not know enough about all of the different gurus in this business to say who is the best, I am still learning. I would eventually like to go to others.

But, I agree with what a lot of people have been saying. Invest in home study courses and books too. I just started and have purchased about $800 worth of books & programs (including Dwan & Sharon's Wholesaling course!) and they are all worth it too me. The knowledge is invaluable!!

Good luck!

If you want to master short sales...Dwan and Sharon are the BEST! I just took their bootcamp and they cover EVERYTHING for the newbie to the already successful.

I highly recommend their programs or better yet...Go to the bootcamp!
