Planning for taxes now can save you money in April

GLEN FALLS, N.Y. - It may be a joy killer to think about 1040 and Schedule A forms during the holidays, but taxpayers who put off tax planning until after Baby New Year arrives might regret it come mid-April.
"Now is absolutely critical for year-end tax planning," said Tom Ross, president and CEO of Loftus Ross LLP in Queensbury. "We try to meet with our clients throughout the year, but
we strongly encourage our clients to meet with us at this time of the year in particular."
