CARY, NC -- R.H. Donnelley Corporation (NYSE:RHD) today announced it has named Jeffrey A. Smith to be the company's Vice President-Controller.
Smith was Senior Director-Accounting and Financial Reporting for Dex Media for three years before being named to his new position. Smith has served as chief financial offer for several companies -- including ScienTel LLC, PetroNet Corp. and www.iCON.COM -- and as vice president for financial reporting at TCI Communications and Life Partners Group. He also was an audit manager and senior associate with Coopers & Lybrand, LLP.
Smith has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Denver. He is a licensed CPA in Colorado, a Fellow of the Life Office Management Institute (FLMI) and a member of the American Institute of CPA's and the Colorado Society of CPA's.

"With his extensive background in accounting and external reporting, he is an ideal fit for this new role and a strong addition to our Finance leadership team."
Smith succeeds Bob Gross, who becomes Vice President of Finance and Administration, leading RHD's corporate-wide financial planning and analysis, budgeting, management and board reporting, real estate, facilities and purchasing.
