U.S. Marshals Service to Auction Two Commercial Buildings in Columbia, South Carolina on the Internet

SILVER SPRING, MD -- Federal Government to Sell Two Commercial Buildings Located on 2.1+/- Acres on the Bid4Assets Web Site Bid4Assets, Inc., a leading online auction site for forfeited, surplus and tax-defaulted property from federal, state and local government and private industry, today announced that it will auction two commercial buildings on 2.1 +/- acres located in Columbia, South Carolina, through an Order for Interlocutory Sale for the U.S. Marshals Service. The online auction opens for bidding May 2-May 4, 2005 on the Bid4Assets Web site at http://www.bid4assets.com/USMS. Bid4Assets has been conducting asset sales for the U.S. Marshals Service since December 1999 to include residential and commercial real estate, luxury automobiles, aircraft, boats, jewelry, timeshares and financial instruments.

The two commercial buildings are located at 1730 & 1732 Broad River Road, Columbia, South Carolina. The building located at 1730 Broad River Road is a one-story building with a brick front and contains 5,712 +/- square feet of heated area. The building located at 1732 Broad River Road is a one-story concrete block and contains 2,250 +/- square feet of heated area. Site improvements include an asphalt-paved driveway and parking areas. Bidding for the two commercial buildings (sold together as one lot) starts at $262,500. Bidders are required to submit a pre-bid deposit of $30,000 prior to placing a bid.

The property will be available for inspection one time only on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. ET. Prospective bidders wishing to inspect the property must make an appointment and complete the "Waiver, Release & Indemnity Agreement." Please contact inspections@bid4assets.com to schedule an appointment. Appointments must be scheduled before 12:00 p.m. ET on Monday, April 25, 2005.
