Man Caught in Katrina Flooding Is Saved by Most Unusual Object

ATLANTA, GA -- A Katrina True Story: A Liberator Legend A man named Alfred called Liberator Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, September 3rd to tell Jane (the Liberator brand specialist working from her home that afternoon) that his life might have been saved by a Liberator Wedge.

In an email nearly a week later Alfred writes, "I had purchased the Wedge back in the spring of 2005 to take with me on a trip to meet my girlfriend in Vancouver, BC. The wedge worked superbly and we were very, very pleased at the results (her comment: "Alfred, this works like hot damn!!")."

Nearing the peak of Hurricane Katrina, Alfred finds himself stranded in his apartment complex, chest-deep in water and worried about his weak swimming skills in hurricane-force winds. "I had an idea...," he continues in his email, "I took my Liberator Wedge, placed it in the travel bag, wrapped it in 2 large garbage bags and surrounded it with duct tape. I hit the water and it floated!! I held on and helped paddle my way to the waiting boat and safe passage out of the apartment complex."

Alfred's full account may be viewed on the Liberator website at http://www.liberator.com/fanmail.php

Said Louis Friedman, CEO and co-inventor of Liberator, "It wasn't designed as a floatation device, but it's gratifying to know that Alfred is well enough to make a return trip to Vancouver with his Wedge. We intended to help his love life get better; who knew we'd help save his life."
