SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- VaultWare Now Offers Automated Pricing Distribution to Save Leasing Professionals' Time and Ensure Accuracy Realty DataTrust, the innovator and leading provider of online leasing solutions for the multifamily industry, today announced VaultWare DX, a significant enhancement to its online availability and reservation service, VaultWare.
The first tool of its kind in the apartment industry, VaultWare DX (Data Exchange) increases the power of the flagship VaultWare offering by providing leasing professionals and property management companies the convenience of automated online pricing updates. The VaultWare DX feature will manage and distribute current apartment rent ranges to participating Internet Listing Services (ILS') where the apartment community is advertising. It does this through seamless integration with the apartment's existing property management system, thereby relieving leasing professionals of manually taking any extra steps to ensure their current rates are being consistently displayed on their various online listings. The rates are then displayed, not only on the VaultWare-powered apartment availability pages, but also on the ILS' heavily-viewed property overview pages. These pages are typically viewed first when shoppers start exploring a property that interests them.
VaultWare already allows online apartment hunters shopping on major ILS' or on the properties' website to view current availability, specials and rent amounts for specific apartments just by clicking a button. Prospects can even pre-qualify and reserve the exact apartment they are interested in. Now, with VaultWare DX current pricing is automatically displayed one step sooner from the Internet Listing Services' property overview pages.
"We see VaultWare DX as a great way to create a favorable first impression for online apartment shoppers. It essentially gives property managers the ability to effortlessly provide accurate rates consistently on every website where they advertise, including their own site. That associates them with the users' favorable web experience which has huge value," said Mike Mueller, CEO of Realty DataTrust. "Additionally from a leasing agent's standpoint, DX is elevating their role. It transforms the time-consuming process of updating rental rates from a mundane act fraught with error potential, to an automated event that allows them to more freely interact with prospects and residents."
VaultWare DX Leading the Way in MITS Utilization
VaultWare DX follows a MITS-based structure to distribute the data to ILS' and to the company websites. MITS, an acronym for Multifamily Information and Transactions Standards was launched by the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) in March 2002 as a collaborative initiative to create an industry-wide data standard for the apartment industry.
"Early on when it developed VaultWare, Realty DataTrust was a key player in the creation and development of what is today the Multifamily Information and Transactions Standards (MITS)," said David Cardwell, NMHC Vice President of Capital Markets and Technology. "Solutions such as Realty DataTrust's VaultWare DX will ultimately speed the adoption and usage of the MITS, thereby allowing many property management companies and the multifamily housing consumer to more readily enjoy the value and efficiency of what the Internet has to offer."
Apartment communities using VaultWare or VaultWare DX can benefit from automated rate updates on www.Apartments.com, www.Apartmentguide.com and www.Forrent.com as well as on their own company website immediately. VaultWare DX will also be available for use with www.Rentnet.com by the end of the month. Realty DataTrust is working with additional ILS sites to further increase compatibility of VaultWare DX in the near future.
VaultWare customers such as Home Properties are already using VaultWare DX. "Rate updates are essential to let our prospects know we care about providing the best and most up-to-date information for them to make their decisions. Additionally, our leasing agents are thrilled that they no longer have to worry beyond updating rates in the property management system. With VaultWare DX, it's done everywhere automatically," said Christina Sanfilippo, Web Services Manager of Home Properties.
VaultWare DX is the one of several online innovations which the company is planning on announcing before the end of year. Of those products in development, Realty DataTrust chose to first launch VaultWare DX since pricing data such as rates and deposits are the most critical and frequently changed information in online advertising. Realty DataTrust is currently developing a comprehensive data exchange offering that will allow the entire ILS listing content on multiple ILS websites to be updated from the central VaultWare system. This solution will be another first of its kind for the multifamily housing industry and will further expand the company's family of online leasing solutions.
"There is no doubt that VaultWare DX positively impacts the efficiencies of the leasing office. We're seeing increased demands on the leasing professional, so this truly stands out as an innovation that makes their life easier," commented Tracey Hopkins of Apartment All Stars.
The VaultWare DX feature is available as an enhancement for current VaultWare customers at no additional charge. VaultWare DX is also available as a stand-alone solution for a minimal setup fee and $120 subscription per year per property.
