CHICAGO, IL -- Grubb & Ellis Company (NYSE:GBE), a leading provider of integrated real estate services, today announced that the three-person team led by Karyn McFarland, President and Chief Executive Officer of McFarland & Finch and one of the most respected brokerage professionals in the Boston real estate market, has joined the Company effective immediately. McFarland joins Grubb & Ellis as a Senior Vice President.
The addition of the McFarland & Finch team underscores the Company's strategic initiative to expand its presence in key markets.

McFarland will focus on the Downtown market. She brings 25 product exclusives, a majority of which are located in the Bulfinch Triangle District, totaling over 1.2 million square feet to Grubb & Ellis.
Also joining Grubb & Ellis is Dan Krysiak as Associate Vice President and Matthew Twombly as Advisor. Krysiak will focus on the Newton and Waltham markets and Twombly in the Downtown market.

With the founding of McFarland & Finch in 1989, McFarland gained the distinction of creating the first woman-owned brokerage firm in Boston. During her 26 years in the real estate industry, she has negotiated lease transactions in excess of $700 million, brokered over $150 million in investment sales and handled major retail consulting assignments for several downtown towers in Boston such as International Place, Phase II and One Lincoln Plaza.
McFarland has been President of the Downtown North Association for five terms and has built a reputation as the real estate expert in Boston's emerging Bulfinch Triangle District. A total of 1 million square feet of new mixed use development will take place on five prime acres over the next three years in the Bulfinch Triangle District. She also served on the Steering Committee for New England Women in Real Estate, of which she is a charter member.
McFarland began her real estate career with Spaulding & Slye in 1980 and prior to her real estate career, she served as Assistant Director of Harvard Law School's Continuing Legal Education. She is a graduate of Gwynedd-Mercy College.
Krysiak, who started with McFarland & Finch in 1996 upon graduating from Bentley College, has spent his entire career with the firm. Focusing on the Mass Pike/Route 128 Market, he has become a leader in the Newton office market having successfully completed the leasing assignments for properties such as 1210-1230 Washington St., 313 Washington St. and 246 Walnut as well as having worked with prominent tenants such as Design Continuum and Euro-Pro. He has completed sales and lease transactions in excess of $50 million. Krysiak will join the suburban 128 market team at Grubb & Ellis.
Twombly joined McFarland & Finch in 2005 as an Associate. He has been instrumental in assisting McFarland and Krysiak in servicing their clients and covering the downtown market. He earned a bachelor's degree from Gettysburg College.
The team will be based in the Company's Boston office located at 200 State St.
