Selling Tax Liens

We buy tax liens each year in Louisiana and recently Wyoming. I'd like to find a reputable company to sell a portion of our tax liens each year to increase cash flow.
Any information would be appreciated.

I don’t know how LA or WY do their tax lien sales but am interested in learning.
Are you saying you want to sell the tax lien certificate before the redemption period is up or do you want to sell the property you got at the tax lien sale? I’m guessing you want to sell the certificate but please clarify. Sorry for me being dense.

You really need to check the legalities in each state. I did a quick search and didn't find anything.

One thought is the are transferable form an entity capitalized by the liens (or if held personally use a partnership w/ all the standard warnings) and then sell entity or partnership interests.

If the liens are paying 15%, pay 10% on the interests you sell.

Hello,
Thanks for the replies! We buy about 25 tax liens each year (mostly from Louisiana). We started in 2000. Up until 2007, about 98% of our liens redeemed within 6 months. Now it's about half.
After I've had the liens 12 months, I would like to sell a portion of them and keep some of the interest to free up funds for other projects. (Our budged is fairly small compared to others.) Louisiana has a long redemption period (the literature will tell you 3 years; but it's actually 5).
It's no legal problem to actually sell the tax liens; I've sold them to an LLC in the past.
I was curious if anyone had sold to hedge funds or or other investment entities.
I've heard from a couple of hedge funds but I don't know anything about them. I'd like to find one who is reputable.
Anyone have any experience with hedge funds or other entities which purchase tax liens?

Why do you care if the buyer is reputable? As long as they are putting down cash for the tax liens you should not care. Isn't cash what you need?
