ET UX or more correctly ET UXOR, from the Latin-"and wife". Being the male dominant society that we are titles used to be taken in the male name and et ux added to show that he was married. Now with women's rights, NOW, and many other groups pushing for equality, titles are now styled in both persons names.
The title probably needs to be changed when the property is sold to the buyer. You should not have to do anything now. It will be the estate that is selling the property. The atty may change title to the estate of mom and dad or just estate of dad. Either way will be sufficient to close. You may need death certs and an affadavit of heirship if there was no will. If there was, it should say who gets what. Then they can do with the property what they want. It is not a big deal, but talk with the atty. You are paying it a bunch of money to handle family property. Talk with it and make sure you know what is going on and how much it is all costing you. It will delay forever if you do not prod and ask questions. (attys are not my favorite type of humanoid, that is why they are "its").
